Our institute is looking for a last year or recently graduated master’s student interested in the interdisciplinary field of socio-environmental studies and climate change with a geographic focus on the Amazon. The pre-doctoral candidate will work at the institute as a junior program manager contributing to our different study and teaching program. In parallel, the candidate will develop research proposals in close collaboration with our Institute’s director.
The ideal candidate has an excellent academic track record, is passionate about sustainability, and has a cultural interest in Latin America. Working knowledge of Portuguese or Spanish, as well as English is required. We are also looking for a person who is familiar with academic research, has prior experience with fieldwork, and is interested in community engagement.
The selected candidate will obtain an initial one-year contract at the St. Gallen Institute of Management, based in Sao Paulo (Brazil). Upon successful submission of research proposals, the contract may be extended up to 4 years.
